Medicaid is extremely important to one in four Rhode Islanders who rely on the program for health insurance coverage or long-term services and supports.  Like most states, the Ocean State invests significant state resources in its Medicaid program, which are matched with federal funds. Governor Raimondo has convened a Working Group to Reinvent Medicaid, which has been charged with conducting a comprehensive review of the state’s program and making recommendations for short-term and long-term plans to transform Medicaid that include improving consumer care and reducing state costsLearn more about the Workgroup's recommendations and what other states are doing to provide cost-effective, consumer-centered health care.
