Policy Agenda - Human Services
A strong community ensures that the needs of children, people with disabilities and seniors are met.
Each year the general assembly considers proposals in the Governor’s budget and bills submitted by legislators that may help or hurt the well-being of children, seniors and people with disabilities. -
Children and Youth: Preserve $400,000 in funds for the YESS Program that provides aftercare services, including help with the cost of housing and case management, for youth between 18 and 21 who are aging out of foster care and transitioning to adulthood.
